Maple Ski Ridge Family Ski and Snowboarding lessons for Weekends or After School

Albany Capital Region Ski & Snowboarding Lessons at Maple Ski Ridge

We appreciate all the enthusiasm and support we have had to continue to build our terrain park better each year.

We are asked daily about our Terrain Park. We know kids love that off the side of the trail is a bright orange plastic fence that forces a pause. They know they must slide through a opening to the set-up where they can see the near distance below, the first in a series of snow mounds and a rail can be seen, its perimeter highlighted in day-glow orange paint.

Terrain parks are the rage these days. Nearly all ski areas have set aside trail space for them. Some, like us have built a loyal following with new features and new training on best ways of carving the ground. These parks ,once magnets only for snowboarders (and originally called “snowboard parks”), they now attract skiers, too, especially with the advent of twin-tipped skis that can be easily ridden backwards.

Maple Ski Ridge is prepping our new terrain park for 2012, with the decrease in temperatures we have been making snow on the main hills for everyday skiing & snowboarding as well as lessons. Once the base depth on the main trails is enough, we switch to dedicating multiple snow guns to be solely working on the terrain park in full force.

We are super eager to get started on our Terrain Park and our staff is full of fresh new ideas after receiving training on building some new park features.

We know the park is the lifeblood of so many die-hard snowboarders who come to Maple each and every year, rest assured we have not forgotten our core group of enthusiasts who loyally trek to our park each weekend to grind on the rails or catch some air in style.

Stay tuned to Facebook for daily updates on park conditions.
