Albany Capital Region Ski And Snowboarding Lessons- Nesquik Bunny kicks off celebration

In our traditional family fun style, we are welcoming the NESQUIK bunny Saturday, January 6th & Sunday, January 7th. The NESQUIK bunny will be here to kick off the opening of weekend lessons. This coincides with the 1st week of after school ski and snowboarding program. The NESQUIK bunny will be bringing free samples of NESQUIK chocolate milk and some extra special goodies for all to enjoy. We have been making snow and are at 80% of full capacity.  Everyone is invited to Maple Ski Ridge to share in the weekend, if you or your children are enrolled in weekend lessons, just enjoying a nice weekend on our slopes, or stop in the lodge and get a samples of NESQUIK chocolate milk and take advantage of a photo opportunity with the NESQUIK bunny.

It hard to believe that soon we will be in the middle of our 49th winter season, battling through the ever changing temperament of the northeast.  Most ski and snowboarding destinations inside NY have been starved of much needed cold weather and natural snow needed to make snow consistently. We have been able to make a base of manmade snow and we are currently operating at about 80% of full capacity. The recent break in the weather has given us the subzero temperatures needed to start a base on unopened trails. We did some measurements and in “perfect” snow making conditions one of our snow guns can cover a 30ft by 60ft area with one foot of snow in an hour. We have more than a half dozen snow guns and if the current cold weather continues we will be making snow around the clock :)
